Release Notes – Enhancements and Fixes

With the release of the PROMAN-X 4.0 update, we have once again integrated several new features to make your work easier.

5.0:

New features:

• switch to 64-bit to be able to open even extremely long protocols without memory issues
• integration of a search function within the currently open protocol
• manual sorting of items according to your own preference
• automatic filling of the participant distribution list, e.g. as present

Of course, we have also made a number of other smaller and larger improvements to simplify the creation and editing of protocols for you. In addition to numerous features, the update also includes a series of fixes, updated functions and security updates.

Automating the installation via MSI packages

Each version is also provided with an MSI installer.

the following parameters apply during installation:

• LICENSE_FILE = path including file name of the license
• APPDIR = installation directory.
• NO_AUTO_UPDATER = if set to “1”, no update scheduler job is created; if “0” or not set, the job is created on the computer
• FORCEUPDATESHORTCUTS = forces the creation & update of shortcuts also in the case of an update; 0 is the default. In that case, shortcuts are only created on the first installation. With the value 1, they are also created on an update
• INIPATH = defines the INI parameter that is set in the shortcuts

For automation, we recommend automatically replacing the desktop shortcut and the INI file after installation or update, according to the customer-specific settings.
